This Privacy Policy describes how the BeauOuPas mobile application ("the App", "we") collects, uses and protects your personal data.
The App is published by Maxime Steenkiste, independent developer. By using BeauOuPas, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data we collect
2.1 Account data
- Email address — to create and authenticate your account
- Password — stored as a hash, never in clear text
- Username and profile picture — shown to your friends
2.2 User-generated content
- Selfies taken during games — the App automatically captures a few random selfies during each game. They are stored on our servers and associated with the corresponding game
- Quiz answers and votes — to show results to your friends
- Photos added to series / projects you create
2.3 Technical and usage data
- Approximate location (city / country) — to suggest nearby games. Medium accuracy: no precise GPS coordinates
- Android Advertising ID (AAID) — used by Google AdMob to serve ads
- Technical logs — to diagnose crashes and improve stability
3. Purposes of processing
We use your data to:
- Allow you to create and securely access your account
- Allow you to play, vote and interact with your friends
- Display selfies during and after games, to your friend group
- Suggest nearby games (based on approximate location)
- Display ads via Google AdMob (banners, interstitials, rewarded ads)
- Improve the App (bug diagnosis, anonymized usage statistics)
4. Sharing with third parties
We never sell your data. We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
4.1 Supabase
Database hosting and storage for photos / selfies. Servers located in the European Union. Supabase Privacy Policy.
4.2 Google AdMob
Ad delivery. AdMob may collect your Android Advertising ID (AAID), approximate IP address, and certain device settings to personalize ads. Google Privacy Policy.
4.3 Google Play Services
App distribution and basic Android services.
5. Data retention
- Active account: as long as your account exists
- Game selfies: as long as the corresponding game or series is not deleted
- Technical logs: maximum 90 days
- Deleted account: all associated data is erased immediately and irreversibly
6. Your rights (GDPR)
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:
- Right of access to your personal data
- Right of rectification (editable in the App via your profile)
- Right to erasure of your account and all your data
- Right to portability of your data
- Right to object to processing
6.1 How to delete your account
You can delete your account directly from the App: Profile → Settings → Delete my account. Deletion is permanent and erases all your data (account, selfies, votes, friends, etc.).
If you no longer have the App installed, write to us at steenkiste.ai@gmail.com with the email address of your account. We will process your request within 30 days.
7. Security
- All communications with our servers are encrypted via HTTPS / TLS
- Passwords are stored as a hash (never in clear text)
- Selfies and photos are stored in a private bucket, accessible only to authorized users
8. Minors
BeauOuPas is intended for users aged 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect any data concerning children under 13. If you become aware that this is the case, please contact us so that we can delete the data concerned.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the App or legal developments. The date of the last update is indicated at the top of this page. Significant changes will be notified to you via the App.
